At the end of 8th grade, a friend of mine invited me to join her for cheerleading tryouts at the high school. I had never even considered becoming a cheerleader, and I just went along for fun.

I'm so glad I did! I ended up becoming a varsity cheerleader my freshman year, and the first two years I cheered, we won the NJ State Championships for our division.

I am now a D-1 cheerleader on the co-ed team at the University of Delaware.
